Welcome Message from 2024 Club Captain Ian Delaine-Smith

As the Captain of Toft Golf Club, I would like to extend a warm welcome to you all.

I am a founder member of this club and played my first game here on the day it opened in April 1988. You could say that Toft has been in my DNA ever since and I am really proud to be Captain this year. I have always regarded it as the best course in the area, due to it’s scenic views and interesting holes, and, contrary to the belief that all of Lincolnshire is flat, it is also challenging and undulating in places.

The management and greenkeepers have done an excellent job in maintaining the course to a high standard and I would like to offer them my continued thanks.

There are medal and stableford competitions most weekends all year round and also midweek during the summer months. We have competitive teams A & B in the South Lincs League and a C Team which is more friendly and social with neighbouring clubs. Mixed friendly matches also take place within the club and again with other clubs in the area. Visitors whom I have spoken to or played with have always been very complimentary of our wonderful course and club.

I wish you all a very enjoyable and successful golfing experience this year at Toft and look forward to playing with many of you.

Welcome Message from 2024 Club Lady Captain Mary Payne

As the Lady Captain at Toft Golf Club, I would like to welcome you all to our friendly club.

The ladies’ section is small in numbers but that doesn’t stop us from enjoying both serious and fun golf.

Our main playing days are Tuesday and Thursday. We also have competitions at weekends, so that ladies who work during the week can play competitive golf.  You can find the club diary in the ‘Club’ page:

Diary | Toft Golf Club

We have many ladies’ and mixed trophy competitions and have summer and winter tees allowing us to play qualifying competitions throughout the year.

Our league and Annodata teams have been very successful in the last few years and the friendly interclub matches give all members the opportunity to play other courses.

I am fairly new to Toft, having joined in 2020, and have found the members very friendly. I’m proud to be Lady Captain and hope that I can help to make everyone feel welcome.  I am always pleased to arrange a round of golf for potential and new members with either myself or another lady player. You can email me at [email protected].

If you are new to golf, it can be daunting to join a club, but it is the best way to find like-minded souls with whom to enjoy your sport and get to grips with the game. Toft is an excellent place to make that start.

Welcome Message from 2024 Club Seniors Captain Barry Streets

It gives me great pleasure as the Seniors Captain to welcome all men aged 55 years and over to this very friendly section of Toft Golf Club.

There are over 100 members of the section, the majority of whom play regularly in our stableford, medal and fun competitions as well as participating in the social games.

The Seniors also have a full diary of friendly matches against clubs in the surrounding area giving members an opportunity to play other courses.

Whether you are new to golf or have just reached that golden age, you can be assured of a warm welcome to the Seniors and I look forward to meeting and playing with you during the forthcoming season.
